Location
  • Try the African themed tented lodges for a luxury glamping experience, secluded garden cottage suites for a complete privacy or the comfort of the main house with its roomy four poster jacuzzi bedrooms.

Whatever your choice, be prepared for a warm welcome, first by the friendly dogs soon to be followed by the lovely hosts Graham and Bre. They’ll do anything to make your stay special, including serving the most amazing dinner and a full Welsh in the morning which are all part of your price.

All the hot tub suites are within a 2 minute walk from the main house and furnished with love and imagination. Aside the contemporary luxury bathrooms and many special touches, we really like the fact that the hot tubs are emptied and cleaned after each visit. In return Graham and Bre ask that you enjoy Pentre Mawr for at least two nights.

    Good to Know

If you pick one of the six hot tub safari lodges, you’re in a for a cozy glamping experience which is less high heels and more of a skinny leopard number and remember – these canvas walls aren’t quite sound proof.

Also for hot tub lodges and hot tub suites minimum 2-night stay applies.

Children are welcome but only if they are at least 12 years of age.

    We Loved

After a stunning meal we retired to our tented lodge to first raid the candle jar for special effects before stepping into our private hot tub with a glass of champagne. We woke to the patter of rain on the canvas roof which made curling up in bed that much more appealing.

  • Accommodation

11 rooms – 3 Superior Rooms in the main house, 6 Canvas Lodges with hot tubs and 2 Suites with hot tubs located in the Gardener Cottage.

For hot tub lodges and hot tub suites minimum 2-night stay applies.

Prices range between £200 to £280 per night, including breakfast and dinner.

    Eat & Drink

Set in a glass conservatory area attached to the main house, the restaurant features Bre’s exceptional home cooking in the mornings and evenings – all part of your price.

There is no bar as such but Bre and Graham are happy to serve drinks in the cozy sitting room of the main house or send a bottle to your room.

    Activities

Right on the premises you can take a dip in the seasonally run swimming pool or try your hand falconry – the newest addition to Pentre Mawr. The house has become a home to three hawks which you take a walk around the grounds while learning to handle them.

Pentre Mawr itself is set amidst the hills and valleys of North Wales – a walking paradise for those who love to challenge themselves to then recuperate in the hot tub of their suite.

    Relaxation

Other than the hot tub of your suite, there is also a terrace with a swimming pool, a lovely sitting room and some 200 acres of land to stroll around.

    Essentials

    Parking – free on premises.

Wifi – free throughout though a little unreliable away from the main house.

Room service – some available throughout the day.

Children – welcome but only if they are at least 12 years of age.
