  • 4.Combat your hangover with an organic brunch

Organic and locally produced ingredients cooked to perfection is what we loved about Cheeky’s, an intimately sized cafe that has a short but delicious menu served with a smile.

You’d come here anytime between breakfast and lunch for a delicious serving of all the wonder foods rumoured to help recover from a heavy night out. The inside the pleasantly airconditioned while the outdoor terrace is cooled by fine water sprays keeping the temperature down.

    Cheekys Restaurant Palm Springs California

Where do we start? The food is simple but stunningly cooked and the refreshing cucumber water comes free.

This place gets very busy at weekends. On arrival push through to the entrance where you put your name down on the waiting list.

  • 5.Start your evening with authentic mexican

The atmosphere at Maracas, an authentic mexican establishment, is infectious with its live music, outdoor seating and likeable waiters.

Outside of Mexico, California is the next best place to taste authentic mexican cuisine and Palm Springs is not short of options. Maracas is a lively place spilling onto the pavement, serving gigantic margaritas and fantastic fajitas. Arriving without booking means you’ll need to join the queue and give it at least 30 minutes before you can grab a table.

Our table just outside the main entrance was perfectly positioned for the live band and watching the colourful characters of Palm Springs wandering the streets.

Despite the lack of airconditioning tables outside are more atmospheric.

  • 6.Dance to the tunes of tequila!

The song “Tequila” by The Chumps immediately springs to mind as soon as your arrive to the door of Las Casuelas Terazza.

Late in the evening the patio gets overtaken by a crowd drinking margaritas and dancing to the music of a live band. Tequila connoisseurs will appreciate the extensive list of first class tequilas that come fast with the quintessential wedge of lime and salt if you so wish.

The ambience is friendly triggered by the great salsa tunes and a crowd that’s out to have a good time.

There’s very little seating around the bar area but the live band won’t let you sit down anyhow.
