Highlights
Features
Location
  • Built in a shape so that every window looks out to the sea and designed in colours and materials that enhance the natural beauty of the most northerly Whitsunday Island, Hayman ranks as one of the most romantic escapes of Australia.

The 210 resort rooms, suites, penthouses and beach villas have been spread across 3 sections – Pool, Beach, and Lagoon. The first is a family choice being close to all the amenities while the other two represent an ideal option for couples seeking tranquillity and privacy.

    Good to Know

Whichever way you wish to explore The Whitsundays, Hayman has a solution ranging from tame enough for the acrophobics to quite adventurous for those with sea legs. An array of dry land activities comes without saying as does an all encompassing spa.

  • Accommodation

210 rooms divided into 3 sections – Beach – Retreat Rooms, Beach Villas and Beach House, Pool – Rooms and Suites, and Lagoon – Rooms, Suites and Penthouses.

Top rooms – The oceanfront Beach Villas feature a private pool, sunny deck, and an enormous tub in the lux bathroom.

Prices start from £400 a night including breakfast and non-motorised water sports and activities

    Eat & Drink

With four main restaurants on offer, you can pick your favourite cuisine and level of formality. Fontaine serves modern Australia, La Trattoria turns out pizza and pasta, Oriental comes up with all things Asian, and Azure is where you breakfast and later stop by for something from the grill.

Once again spoilt for choice, in one evening you could bar-crawl starting at the Mexican-inspired Beach Pavilion onto Hayman Pool Bar, eventually finishing at The Club Lounge.

    Activities

This page isn’t long enough to list all the experiences the resort can get you to try. Most of them evolve around the crystal clear waters and the non-motorised tend to come free.

If you wish to stay on the dry land, the choice is similarly exhaustive including the traditional gym, tennis, fitness classes, and swimming pools.

    Relaxation

Classed as one of the best spas in Oz, you can indulge in a comprehensive pampering program or relax in your own way in the spa’s hydrotherapy area including sauna and steam rooms.

    Essentials

Parking – no cars on the island. You either arrive by air or sea thus you’ll have to leave your car at your departure airport/sea port.

Wifi – throughout. Free at low speed, extra speed for an extra charge.

    Room service – 24/7.

Children – welcome with lots of assistance provided.

Pets – not allowed to our knowledge.
